Paulo Rendeiro joined the firm in 2006. He became a Morais Leitão partner in 2018.
He coordinates the sport and entertainment department and he is also a member of the firm’s corporate and M&A and capital markets team.
He was involved in several M&A transactions, restructurings, acquisitions and sales of companies, as well as in complex tender offer transactions on behalf of domestic and foreign clients. He also provides regular assistance in corporate law.
His practice is currently focused on matters related to Sports Law, with special emphasis on international transfers of football players. He has been representing some of the most important members of the industry in dozens of high-profile transactions involving clubs and players competing in the major European leagues (England, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Portugal).
Moreover, he also advises on legal matters related to the commercial exploitation of celebrities and athletes image rights, TV broadcasting rights, gaming and music events, as well as matters related to sports such as e-sports, tennis, surfing, paddle, golf, motor sports and water sports.
