Legal 500 highlights Morais Leitão

Morais Leitão maintains its leadership in the areas analysed in Portugal by the Legal 500 - Europe, Middle East and Africa ranking, which this year places Morais Leitão in Tier 1 in 18 of the areas observed, with emphasis on the direct entry to Tier 1 of the new analysed area: Data Privacy and Data Protection.

In "Leading Individuals", 18 lawyers were appointed: Luís Branco in Banking and Finance; Carlos Osório de Castro in Capital Markets and Commercial, Corporate and M&A; Tiago Félix da Costa in Data Privacy and Data Protection; António Pinto Leite and Francisco Cortez in Dispute Resolution; Luís Miguel Monteiro in Employment; Nuno Galvão Teles in Energy and Natural Resources; Carlos Botelho Moniz and Joaquim Vieira Peres in EU and Competition; Rui Patrício in Fraud and White-Collar Crime; João Pereira Reis in Planning Law; Luís Branco and Filipe Lowndes Marques in Projects and Project Finance; Margarida Olazabal Cabral and Pedro Costa Gonçalves in Public Law; João Torroaes Valente in Real Estate and Construction; and in Tax, António Lobo Xavier and Francisco de Sousa da Câmara.

In Porto, António Lobo Xavier, Bernardo Lobo Xavier, Carlos Osório de Castro and João Anacoreta Correia also deserved distinction.

Morais Leitão's lawyers appointed to "Next Generation Partners" were 7: Eduardo Paulino in Capital Markets and Commercial, Corporate and M&A; Filipe Vaz Pinto in Dispute Resolution; Catarina Brito Ferreira in Energy and Natural Resources; João Tiago Silveira in Public Law; Bruno Santiago in Tax; Cátia Henriques Fernandes in Transport; and Paulo Rendeiro in Oporto.

And there were 9 lawyers appointed to "Rising Stars" this year: Luís Roquette Geraldes in Commercial, Corporate and M&A; Inês Gouveia and Pedro de Gouveia e Melo in EU and Competition; Tiago Geraldo in Fraud and White-Collar Crime; Vasco Stilwell d'Andrade in Intellectual Property; Rui Ribeiro Lima in Planning Law; Cláudia Castanheira dos Santos and Filipa Morais Alçada in Projects and Project Finance; and in Porto, Inês Gouveia and Francisco Mendes da Silva.

In total, 35 lawyers from Morais Leitão were appointed this year by the prestigious directory.
