Yesterday Morais Leitão won four categories in the “Women in Business Law EMEA Awards 2022”, recognition attributed by Legal Media Group, including the important distinction of best national firm.
To the enormous satisfaction of the entire firm, Morais Leitão has also received, for the first time, the award "Pro Bono Work: National Firm of the Year", recognising the important social responsibility work it develops with the Girl Move project, a leadership academy that through its innovative educational models amplifies talent, promotes gender equality and generates sustainable transformation within the Nampula’s community. In 2021 the Girl MOVE Academy was recognized by UNESCO with the UNESCO 2021 Prize for the Education of Women and Girls.
Morais Leitão was also awarded as the "National Firm of the Year", due to the relevant leadership role that our female lawyers assume, in very significant projects, in all areas and sectors in which we operate.
Individually, Isabel Santos Fidalgo and Claudia Santos Cruz were considered Lawyers of the Year, on an international scale, in the practice areas of Tax Dispute Resolution and Shipping & Maritime, respectively.
The Women in Business Law EMEA Awards 2022 distinguish the firms that invest the most in diversity in the practice of law and celebrate the talent of these lawyers in their different areas and sectors, throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
