Morais Leitão is recruiting a Junior Business Development Consultant (m/f) to join its Lisbon office on a temporary basis.
As part of the Business Development & Client Care team, the Business Development Consultant will be assisting in the generation of pitches and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) as well as providing daily support for other team initiatives, namely internal or external business development initiatives. This will be a challenging but rewarding role; an excellent opportunity for a self-starter with the ambition to succeed to take on a variety of projects and make a significant contribution in driving the firm forward.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the overall implementation of the firm’s business development plans, conducting research into clients, markets & competitors; gathering market intelligence
- Assisting in the pitch and RFPs processes, target new clients and support the development of key client programs
- Helping in the development of the firm’s experience database by gathering relevant information and preparing it for use in the firm’s proposal system
- General assistance in various other initiatives that intersect with other functional areas within the business development context
Skills and Abilities:
- Experience of working in a professional services environment is valued
- Strong business development skills as well as experience of the pitch process is required
- Demonstrates to be innovative and an original thinker
- Shows good analytical skills and the ability to act upon information given
- Excellent attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels with a high level of diplomacy and professionalism
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher Education is required
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
