Agostinho Cardoso Guedes joined the firm in 2006. He is a member of the corporate and M&A team.
Agostinho has been involved in the negotiation of agreements relating to industrial equipment procurement, civil construction and financing, particularly in the areas of energy and telecommunications.
Professor at the Católica Porto School of Law. He was also a Lecturer at the Oporto Entrepreneur Institute (Instituto Empresarial Portuense (AEP) from 1993 to 2000 and at the Oporto Management School (Escola de Gestão do Porto) from 2000 to 2002.
Member of the Oporto Commercial Arbitration Center (Centro de Arbitragem Comercial da Câmara de Comércio e Indústria do Porto) and member of the General Committee of the Portuguese Judicial College (Conselho Geral do Centro de Estudos Judiciários).
Former Dean of Católica Porto Law School from 2006 to 2013, and former president of the National Evaluation Committee of the Portuguese Bar Association (Comissão Nacional de Avaliação da Ordem dos Advogados, 2006). Previously, Agostinho practised law at Osório de Castro, Verde Pinho, Vieira Peres, Lobo Xavier e Associados – Sociedade de Advogados from 1989 to 2005.
Author and co-author of several books and articles, in Portuguese and foreign reviews.
