Sofia Cerqueira Serra joined Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva & Associados in 2006 and is a member of the corporate and M&A team.
Sofia has advised both national and international clients in various M&A operations, in the negotiation of international commercial contracts and also provides regular advice and assistance to clients on their ongoing commercial activities, particularly in the areas of commercial distribution contracts, software licensing and intellectual property.
Sofia Cerqueira Serra is in close cooperation with the member firms of the Morais Leitão Legal Circle, personalised day-to-day assistance to clients on matters that involve the jurisdictions of the African Portuguese speaking countries, particularly in the oil and gas areas. Sofia is also a member of Team Genesis, an internal team created to provide legal advice relating to innovation and entrepreneurship to start-ups and SMEs, as well as to business angels, venture capital and private equity companies that invest in such fields.
