Morais Leitão is supporting the 13th Coimbra International Arbitration Meeting, which is taking place between 3 and 5 April at Colégio da Trindade and Quinta das Lágrimas. Organised by Paula Costa e Silva, Miguel de Almada and Catarina Monteiro Pires, the event is recognised as one of the main forums for reflection on international arbitration.
This year's edition stands out for its approach to pressing and innovative issues, such as the response of arbitral and judicial tribunals to the challenges of artificial intelligence, sustainability and geopolitics, as well as the IBA's new guidelines for the performance of arbitrators on social media. More than 20 speakers from different jurisdictions will take part, including renowned academics, magistrates and lawyers specialising in arbitration.
Filipe Galvão Teles, a lawyer at Morais Leitão, is part of the organisation of the under-40 session, which marks the opening of the programme, promoting debate among young professionals on emerging trends in arbitration practice.
