António Pinto Leite is a Guest Speaker at the "World Conflict Resolution Day Conference"
This year the MEDIARCOM – European Association for Mediation celebrates the World Conflict Resolution Day with an international conference on “Mediation and Arbitration: The New Tools for Empowering Citizens in the European Union”. The conference will be held on 15 October, in Lisbon.
António Pinto Leite, a partner at Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva and a member of the Portuguese Committee of ICC, is one of the guest speakers and will address the topic “Arbitration in the 20th Century: Success or Crisis?”.
We should highlight that the guests of honour will be Diana Wallis, Vice President of the European Parliament and Lawrence Susskind, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and founder of the Harvard Law Faculty’s Negotiation Program.
The World Conflict Resolution Day, dedicated this year to the relevance of arbitration and mediation for the European Union’s citizens and companies, will also host a one-day workshop on “PPPs - Public Private Partnerships and Environmental Issues: A Practical Workshop on Consensus Buildings and Mutual Gains Negotiations”, presented by Professor Susskind on 16 October.
The events will take place at the Rectory of Nova University, in Lisbon. [see programme]
