Claudia Santos Cruz, Morais Leitão partner and consultant to the firm’s Legal Circle network in Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde, has been appointed an Officer of the International Bar Association’s (“IBA”) African Regional Forum.
Claudia also holds an Officer position with the IBA’s Oil & Gas Committee, and this new appointment consolidates her position and work in African regional markets and the mineral resources sector.
The IBA is recognised globally as the leading organisation for international legal practitioners. Established in 1947, shortly after the creation of the United Nations, with the aim of protecting and advancing the rule of law globally.
The lawyer will join her fellow officers at the IBA leadership Mid-Year Meetings in Bucharest between 22 – 25 May 2024.
