One more Clinic Session, organised by Hospital da Luz in Lisbon, will take place on 10 October 2012. The debate will be on the issue “Responsibility for prescribing medications off-label”.
Rui Patrício, partner of the litigation and arbitration area of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva, will participate in the event.
Rui Patrício is an expert on this issue, having recently organised a conference on “Medical Responsibility” where several themes that involved medical practice and responsibility, the responsibility of public providers of health services and health professionals, proof in damage actions, risk management, and criminal matters were discussed. Through a group of speakers with different perspectives, the event intended to discuss complex matters of great importance not only to society but also to the justice system and the current administration.
