David Silva Ramalho is a speaker at the ‘Online Gambling Law in Portugal’ conference and will take part in a round table dedicated to the theme of ‘Responsibility and powers to combat illegal content and operators’. The conference will take place today, 18th November, and will feature a round table moderated by Tiago Bessa, Lawyer, which will also include the participation of Professor Domingos Soares Farinho.
David Silva Ramalho will highlight the criminal regime of online gambling, the role and criminal responsibility of influencers as promoters of the illicit exploitation of online games and betting and the difficulties associated with this investigation (promoted entities may be licensed in other countries and there may be a geographical blockade for Portugal), as well as global responsibility for monitoring and combating illegal gambling.
