David Silva Ramalho to speak at ‘Understanding Bitcoins and Cryptocurrency Technologies’ event

David Silva Ramalho, managing associate in the criminal, regulatory offences and compliance team, will be a speaker at the event ‘Understanding Bitcoins and Cryptocurrency Technologies’, organised by ERA. The lawyer will talk about the use of cryptocurrencies to commit crimes and the opportunities that the use of this technology brings to criminal investigation.

Among the topics to be analysed will be the use of cryptocurrencies in the context of Dark Web markets, as well as for laundering purposes, to which will be added a more practical aspect on how to identify cryptocurrencies in an investigation, how to trace them and how to seize them’.
