Gonçalo Machado Borges will lecture on “European Competition Law” in the first course of the LL.M. programme on European and Transglobal Business Law at the Law Faculty of the University of Minho.
The programme offers a unique and innovative blend of core legal subjects ranging from European Union business law to the legal aspects of investment in emerging economies with which Portugal has historic and cultural ties (Brazil, China, Angola and India), giving the programme a truly transglobal dimension. The programme will be taught in English.
Gonçalo Machado Borges, senior lawyer and member of the European law and competition team of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva, is highly experienced in several areas of competition law, including matters related to restrictive practices, abuses of market power and the filing of merger notifications regarding transactions in a wide range of sectors. Of special importance is the telecom field, in which he has been active in both regulatory and judicial proceedings with the administrative courts.
