Inês F. Neves, associate in the European law and competition department, is a speaker at the Lawtomation Days conference, on the topic of ‘Computing the law, regulating the algorithm the transformative power of digital ecosystems’, which will take place on 26 and 27 September at IE University Law School in Madrid.
The lawyer's speech entitled ‘Vulnerability: from a minority concept to a defining status in the digital realm’ is part of the 'Vulnerable Users' panel and will address the impact of digitalisation on the notion of vulnerability, the responsibility of public authorities (the state and the European Union) and the actions of companies, especially digital service providers, with regard to protecting vulnerabilities and vulnerable subjects.
