João Matos Viana is a speaker at the 1st International Congress of APAR - Portuguese Association for Prisoner Support

João Matos Viana, partner at Morais Leitão, will be a speaker at the 1st International Congress of APAR - Associação Portuguesa de Apoio ao Recluso, which will take place in Fátima on 6 and 7 April.

The lawyer will take part in the panel dedicated to the theme of "Unavoidable Adjustments in the Prison System", and his speech will focus on the adjustments that need to be made to the legal system that provides for the representation of prisoners by a lawyer, namely within the scope of the Penal Code.

The APAR congress will address issues relating to the prison system, as well as the judicial system and mental health policies.
