João Pereira Reis, Rui Ribeiro Lima and Miguel Arnaud de Oliveira are speakers at the XII Urban Rehabilitation Week

João Pereira Reis, Rui Ribeiro Lima and Miguel Arnaud de Oliveira are taking part in the XII Lisbon Urban Rehabilitation Week, which runs from 25 to 27 February at the Beato Innovation District.

On 26 February, Rui Ribeiro Lima will take part in the parallel session ‘What is still to be known about the amendment to the Land Law (RJIGT)’, where he will give a brief legal framework on the subject and take part in a round table discussion.

On 27 February, the lawyers will take part in the panel ‘The new Land Law - What are the main changes?’, as part of the conference ‘The new Land Law - Building on rural land for more housing’. The aim of this conference is to analyse the implications of the simplified reclassification of rustic land into urban land, a legislative change that promises to increase the supply of housing and reduce costs. The central question will be whether the measure will, in practice, have the expected impact on access to housing and what challenges it might raise.
