TheWomen’s International Shipping & Trading Association ("WISTA") has invited Magda Fernandes, Claudia Santos Cruz, Cátia Henriques Fernandes, Sara Taipa Teixeira e Ana Corrêa Cardoso, part of the shipping team of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva & Associados (MLGTS), to join WISTA Portugal, an international organization whose mission is to support women, at management level, in the maritime sectors and help create a sustainable national maritime cluster.
Cátia Henriques Fernandes, a senior lawyer at MLGTS, was also invited to join the association's governing bodies as Vice-Chairman of the Fiscal Council.
The official inauguration of WISTA International takes place within the context of the first "Portugal Shipping Week", between 17 and 21 September, in Lisbon, and includes the participation of Ana Paula Vitorino, Minister of the Sea, and Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou, President of WISTA International.
