Margarida Lima Rego, senior associate of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva, specialist in insurance and reinsurance law and lecturer at Nova University Law School, was invited to direct Course I in New Developments in Insurance Law, starting on October 6, 2010.
The course is composed by fifteen modules, seven of them taught by Margarida Lima Rego.
Margarida Lima Rego has been very active in the area of corporate and commercial law. She has played an important role in the setting up of varied operations on behalf of domestic and foreign clients and in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts with an emphasis on insurance and distribution.
She provides ongoing legal advice in all areas of insurance and reinsurance, insurance mediation and pension funds. She has drafted legislation in the field of insurance law in the capacity of advisor to the Portuguese government and she recently published a book entitled Third Insurance Contracts – Civil Law Study.
Francisco de Sousa da Câmara, partner of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva and currently head of the tax team, will also participate in Course I and he will lecture in the module on fiscality regime of insurances.
