Margarida Lima Rego, an associate at Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva, received her Ph.D. in Private Law. Her Ph.D. thesis “The Insurance Contract and Third Parties” was unanimously approved with distinction and praise by a jury headed by Professor Teresa Pizarro Beleza and composed of Professors António Menezes Cordeiro, José Lebre de Freitas, Carlos Ferreira de Almeida, José Engrácia Antunes (examiner), Rui Pinto Duarte (examiner), Paulo Mota Pinto and Vítor Neves.
Margarida Lima Rego joined the firm in 2002 and she works with the corporate and commercial team. She has played an important role in the setting up of varied operations on behalf of domestic and foreign clients, and in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, with an emphasis on insurance and distribution. She provides ongoing legal advice in all areas of insurance and reinsurance, insurance mediation and pension funds.
Margarida is a Lecturer at Nova University Law School.
