Maria Quintela, senior lawyer and a member of the tax team of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva, is one of the member of the Revision Commission of the Personal Income Tax that is formed by a group of ten experts from the academic community, tax consultancy and a fiscal representative.
The working group, headed by Rui Morais, was set up on 18 March 2014. It shall be entrusted with simplifying the process of taxation, promote social mobility through an overview of taxation of labour and protect households, especially families with many children, although the drop in taxes is outside the scope of the mandate.
