Martim Krupenski in an interview with Diário de Notícias

Martim Krupenski, Managing Partner of Morais Leitão, was the first guest on the podcast ‘The Law and the Practice’, where he discussed topics such as Artificial Intelligence, talent in the legal profession and the impact of political uncertainty on the national economy.

Since taking over the leadership of Morais Leitão in June last year, Martim Krupenski has focused on valuing talent and innovation, while maintaining the continuity of the firm's strategy. For the Managing Partner, Artificial Intelligence is both a challenge and an opportunity, especially when it comes to optimising bureaucratic tasks and creating new models for providing legal services. ‘We need to continue to be the best and most talented lawyers,’ he said.

Regarding the impact of technology on the profession, Martim Krupenski believes that the adoption of new tools does not reduce the role of lawyers, but reconverts their functions.

Political and economic stability in Portugal was another of the topics on the agenda. Martim Krupenski argued that foreign investment is ‘not worried’ about the change of government and sees the country as a stable destination.

With regard to Morais Leitão's strategy, he emphasised international expansion as a priority, strengthening the firm's presence in foreign markets.
