Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva is pleased to announce the promotion of five new partners: Nuno Peres Alves, Filipe Vaz Pinto, António Pedro Braga, Pedro Gorjão Henriques and Maria Quintela.

With these nominations the number of MLGTS partners is up to 44 in a universe of 167 lawyers. These nominations represent one step ahead in the organic growth of MLGTS.

About the new partners:

Nuno Peres Alves coordinates one of the administrative law teams, concentrating on client support mainly in Oporto and the northern region of Portugal. He focuses his activity on several administrative law and administrative litigation areas – administrative courts and arbitration. He works in several sectors of economic activity, specially advising clients on procedure, concession and public work contract execution and in public regulation -advising particularly on telecommunications.

Filipe Vaz Pinto is a member of the litigation and arbitration team, working mainly in the arbitration area, and particularly in international arbitration. He pursues his activity as a lawyer in complex arbitrations such as aviation, bank, construction, commerce and food, defense, energy, media and advertising, infrastructures, mines, public-private partnerships, insurance, technology transfers, and trusts.

António Pedro Braga coordinates one of the tax teams from the Oporto office. He pursues his professional activity in tax law, especially in national and international taxation of finance, commercial and industrial companies, but also all of the other taxation specialties (e.g.,  tax litigation, VAT, wealth tax).

Pedro Gorjão Henriques is a member of the banking and finance team. He develops his activity in banking and finance law, especially in project finance, corporate finance, trade finance, structured finance and credit restructuring areas. He also has been active in corporate law, taking part in several mergers and acquisitions operations.

Maria Quintela is part of the Lisbon tax team. She has been active assisting various major acquisitions of companies and in the restructuring of international groups with respect to all attendant tax issues, notably regarding real estate, industrial and financial sector tax issues. Professional activity also involves representing national and international clients in tax litigation matters in both administrative proceedings and in court. Maria Quintela is a member of the Revision Commission of the Personal Income Tax.
