Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva sponsors APDE in the publication of its book "Studies of European Law"

APDE – Portuguese Association of European Law, the main aim of which is to study and provide information on European Law, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. This event will be marked by the publication of a collection of Studies of European Law, the formal presentation of which will take place on November 24, 2009, in the Faculty of Law at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

This Collection of Studies is comprised of  all the Works presented by the rapporteurs indicated by APDE, which were presented between 1990 and 2008 in the biannual Congresses of FIDE – Fédération Internationale de Droit Européen and relate to the  varying themes of European Law (in total, 29 “Portuguese reports”).

It is worthwhile  to note that one of the themes included in this book was presented in the XXIII FIDE Congress in Linz, Áustria in  May, 2008, and relates to the relations between European and national Competition Law (“The Modernization of European Competition Law: Initial experiences with Regulation 1/2003”). The authors are Carlos Botelho Moniz and Margarida Rosado da Fonseca, lawyers with Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva.

Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva has accompanied and supported the initiatives of APDE and is one of the four entities that sponsored the publication of this book. Moreover, two of the seven Members of the Board (which was elected last May 6) are lawyers of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva – Carlos Botelho Moniz is Vice-President and Margarida Rosado da Fonseca is Secretary-General.
