On July 6 Morais Leitão co-organizes with the Portuguese Association of Tax Consultants a seminar on "Tax & Technology - the relevance of new technologies in the tax field".
The event will comprise five moments:
- The opening session, led by partners António Pedro Braga and Francisco de Sousa da Câmara;
- A conversation on the relevance of artificial intelligence in tax matters led by Piergiorgio Valente, Chairman GTAP Global Tax Advisers Platform, Chairman Tax Technology Committee of CFE, President International Tax Policy Committee at CNDCEC, Professor of International Tax Law at the Link Campus University in Rome;
- A debate under the theme "The new technologies applied to Taxation: AI, Chat GPT, Q&A and data processing".
The debate panel will feature Jorge Silva, Natural Language Processing Specialist, Microsoft, Bernardo Caldas, Microsoft, Angelo Costanzo, Senior Judge of the Italian Supreme Court, and Martim Magalhães, Garrigues, WU LLM. The moderator will be António Queiroz Martins, senior associate at Morais Leitão. - A session dedicated to the topic "Technology at the service of the Tax and Customs Authority - Where does it come from? Where is it? Where is it going?" whose speaker will be Engineer Graciosa Delgado;
- Closing session with partner Bruno Santiago.
The theme of this action is due to its urgency and impact on the activity of the various stakeholders, including consultants, companies, magistrates and AT, currently.
The event will take place at the João Morais Leitão Auditorium, at Rua Castilho, in Lisbon.
