Sustainability is, more than a concern, an obligation for governments, investors, companies and consumers, with real implications for business activities and practices. Environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues are a priority, also involving the whole value chains of organisations, from companies to non-profit entities, including public administration.
Therefore, Morais Leitão will be present at the "IFLR Corporate Sustainability Summit 2021", a unique event that aims to promote discussion on the legal requirements and challenges arising from "ESG".
João Tiago Silveira and Diana Ribeiro Duarte will represent the firm, participating as speakers in the international panel dedicated to "The Policy: Assessing the current regulatory landscape".
The lawyers will discuss the EU Action Plan for Sustainability, the two EU Directives - Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD) and the EU Taxonomy Regulation -, and how companies are coping with with such a fast-changing regulatory environment.
The event takes place on 29th and 30th September.
