Morais Leitão lawyers lecture at the postgraduate course ‘The Separation of Powers in the Democratic Rule of Law and the Reform of Criminal Procedure’

Rui Patrício, João Matos Viana, Tiago Geraldo, David Silva Ramalho and Nuno Igreja Matos, lawyers at Morais Leitão, are teaching on the postgraduate course ‘The Separation of Powers in the Democratic Rule of Law and the Reform of Criminal Procedure’, organised by the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences (IDPCC) of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (FDUL). The course runs from 22 April to 20 May 2025 and brings together experts for an in-depth analysis of the challenges and changes in criminal justice.

João Matos Viana will speak on ‘The role and presence of the victim and the assistant at the Inquiry’ (24 April).

Nuno Igreja Matos will take part in the session ‘The victim in the trial: a lack of representation?’ (29 April).

Tiago Geraldo will be speaking at the session ‘Appeals and complaints throughout the process: too many guarantees?’ (6th May).

David Silva Ramalho will speak on ‘Digital media and challenges to defence guarantees’ (15 May).

Rui Patrício will take part in the session ‘National anti-corruption strategy and new perspectives for extending plea bargaining’ (20 May).
