For the second consecutive year, Morais Leitão was elected “Portugal Tax Firm of the Year”. The award, announced today, was conferred by the prestigious magazine ITR (International Tax Review) at the EMEA Tax Awards 2021. Morais Leitão was distinguished as the best Portuguese tax law firm, considering the value and size of transactions, complexity and innovation.
Morais Leitão was also presented the award Impact Case of the Year - Sonaecom SGPS SA v Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira for its participation in one of the most important tax disputes of the year.
In this matter, Morais Leitão’s tax team advised Sonaecom SGPS SA and was formed by partners António Lobo Xavier (Tax), Isabel Santos Fidalgo (Tax) and Joaquim Vieira Peres (European and Competition Law).
