Morais Leitão supports ICC Portugal Competition Congress

Morais Leitão is once again associated with the "Competition in Portugal" Congress, organised by the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce). The event will take place in Lisbon on 27 November.

In this 3rd edition of the meeting, professionals from different sectors, such as companies, associations, judges, academics, parliamentarians, regulators, lawyers and journalists, will discuss key issues of competition law in five thematic sessions.

Eduardo Maia Cadete, Chairman of the ICC Portugal Competition Commission, will open and close the Congress and Dzhamil Oda will participate in the session on 'Competition Law and the Labour Market'.

Among the topics to be discussed are expectations of the new European Commission in the area of competition policy, the interaction between the labour market and competition law, the role of the state in a market economy, the impact on the health sector and the measures needed to increase international competitiveness. The agenda also includes a critical analysis of the application of competition law in Portugal in 2024 and the challenges foreseen for 2025.
