On 18 March, Morais Leitão welcomed a group of 12 law and MBA degree students from New York University. The event, organized by Joana Granadeiro, alumna of this university, included the participation of other lawyers. Filipe Vaz Pinto talked about the impact of the Achmea judgment on investment arbitration, Claudia Santos Cruz addressed the opportunities and challenges of ML’s presence in other jurisdictions with a specific focus on Angola and Mozambique, Filipe Lowndes Marques discussed the impacts of Brexit on the financial sector, Luís Roquette Geraldes made a presentation on Team Genesis and talked about the particularities of legal counsel for emerging companies, and finally Miguel Cortez Pimentel presented the latest developments in international taxation and the challenges of locally taxing a global digital economy.
