On April 10th, Morais Leitão and ECO joined forces to promote the third edition of the New Money Conference.
Under the motto "New Money - New Wave of Digital Money", topics such as digital payments and the new cybersecurity risks in the financial industry were discussed.
Representing the firm were Filipe Lowndes Marques, who began by saying that "It's a constantly changing world. There are always new things, especially on the regulatory side, but not only, and it's important to keep everyone up to date", and Vera Esteves Cardoso, who was part of the first panel, dedicated to innovation and the challenges of digital payments.
Vera addressed the issue from a regulatory point of view, mentioning the importance of regulations in improving processes, namely AMLA.
