Rui Patrício, a partner at Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva, was designated “Delegate attached to the Constitutional Court” by the Lisbon District Counsel of the Portuguese Bar Association.
The Lisbon District Counsel is currently preparing a report on the administration of justice. Within the framework of that project the Lisbon District Counsel tried to develop a model of a more close cooperation between the Courts and the Bar Association and the Courts and the lawyers. Having that in mind they have created the figure of Delegate attached to the Courts.
Each Delegate’ function is to develop an institutional connection with the respective Court, creating proximity with the Court’s President Judge, with the Solicitor-General and the Court’s Secretary, by creating good will the judgeship, organizing training sessions, fighting the non-authorized legal practice and analyzing pending cases.
