With the New Space Model characterised by a reduction in the cost of space missions, a focus on space tourism and the development of innovative technological solutions, the article highlights the need for an international and European legal framework capable of ensuring predictability, security and competitiveness. Issues such as ownership of celestial bodies, environmental sustainability and responsibility for space debris play a central role in defining a new space law.
