Seminar "Freedom of Movement and Taxation of People and enterprises in the European Union"

The tax team of the Oporto office of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva is organising a seminar on "Freedom of Movement and Taxation of People and enterprises in the European Union" which will take place at 4 p.m., on October 1 at the Sheraton Hotel in Oporto.
 
The deepening of the integration of Portugal in the European Union entails the harmonisation o the direct and indirect taxation, which raises a number of new questions on the interpretation of the directives in this domain. Therefore, it is imperative that companies with an international component are aware of their rights in this area and how those rights can be exercised.

This seminar, mainly practical and including debate, will have as speakers, besides the firm’s team, two highly regarded experts on European taxation: Professor Tom O’Shea from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (London University) and lawyer George Gillham from McGrigors law firm in London.
