Sofia Vaz Sampaio talks about class actions to Iberian Lawyer magazine

Sofia Vaz Sampaio, head of the litigation and arbitration department at Morais Leitão, spoke to Iberian Lawyer magazine about the phenomenon of class actions that are arriving on this side of the Iberian Peninsula.

The partner comments that "in Portugal there are no limitations on the types of claims that can be brought collectively" and that "class actions can be brought to protect various types of interests, such as public health, the environment, quality of life, goods and services, consumer protection, cultural heritage and public interests."
