Tomás Mendonça Viçoso signs article on the review of the new local accommodation rules in Portugal

Tomás Mendonça Viçoso, trainee lawyer at Morais Leitão, wrote the article "The first step in the review of the new rules for local accommodation in Portugal", published in the latest issue of X magazine.

In the article, the author analyses the changes introduced by Law No. 56/2023 of 6 October, which affect the registration and operation of local accommodation in Portugal. Among the topics covered are the creation of a special contribution for local housing (CEAL), the strengthening of the supervisory powers of condominiums and measures to encourage the conversion of local housing into rental housing.
