Vera Esteves Cardoso and Ashick Remetula join the banking and finance team of Morais Leitão

Vera Esteves Cardoso and Ashick Remetula have just joined the banking and finance team of Morais Leitão as a consultant and an associate respectively.

Vera began her professional career at the Bank of Portugal as a consultant in the area of preventive supervision of money laundering and terrorist financing. In the last years she has coordinated the market entry team. She participated in the development of European guidelines in the scope of authorizations and licensing, in Portugal FinLab and issues related to Stablecoins and Technological Free Zones.

Ashick Remetula also comes to intensify the focus on innovation and digitalization, developing its activity in the area of Fintech with special emphasis on companies and transactions dealing with new and emerging technologies, matters related to blockchain and web3.0, crypto-activities and NFTs, crowdfunding and ICOs, essentially in the context of attracting and making investments, corporate and regulatory matters.
