Margarida Lima Rego, senior associate of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva, specialist in insurance and reinsurance law, and lecturer at Nova University Law School, was invited to attend, as speaker, the workshop “Insurances – the hiring and the resolution of conflicts”, to be held on 26 November 2010 at the Nova University Law School. The topics will be “The Regularization of Accidents in the New Regime of Insurance Contracts” and “Life Insurance”.
Margarida Lima Rego has been very active in the area of corporate and commercial law. She has played an important role in the setting up of varied operations on behalf of domestic and foreign clients and in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts with an emphasis on insurance and distribution.
She provides ongoing legal advice in all areas of insurance and reinsurance, insurance mediation and pension funds. She has drafted legislation in the field of insurance law in the capacity of advisor to the Portuguese government.
This event was organized by the Insurance Institute of Portugal (Instituto de Seguros de Portugal) in alliance with DECO - Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection under the coordination of Professors Assunção Cristas and Jorge Carvalho. The workshop “Insurances – the hiring and the resolution of conflicts” is part of a program for the 5th edition of the seminar on “Consumer Law – a challenge to enterprises”.
