IDPCC | How we hate in court: an overview of psychological, legal and judicial perspectives on hate crimes under Portuguese law

Nuno Igreja Matos published the article “How we hate in court: an overview of psychological, legal and judicial perspectives on hate crimes under Portuguese law”, which focuses on the problem of criminally relevant hatred, based on an analysis of the various theories on the concept, as well as the study of judicial decisions in Portuguese courts on hate crimes.

The article was published in the journal Anatomia do Crime and is part of a scientific research project called “Projeto Psique”, which has been promoting interdisciplinary studies into various concepts on the so-called mental elements of crime.
