Inês F. Neves and Rita Ferreira Gomes, both from the European and Competition team, signed the article ‘Gun-jumping: reflexes of the special diligence of companies in merger control’ published by Observatório Almedina.

Using the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union in the Marine Harvest, Ernst & Young, Altice, Canon and Illumina/Grail cases, the authors draw some conclusions regarding the particular diligence required and expected of companies in the context of merger control.
