Diogo Frada Almeida joined the Firm in February 2022. He is a member of the intellectual property, technology and personal data department.
His practice is mainly focused on intellectual property and technology, where he is involved in several transactions in these practice areas and assists both national and international clients in protection strategy and implementation, licensing, assignments, and valuation of non-tangible assets. Diogo also provides assistance in matters related to software contracting, development of Apps, and new technologies (AI - Artificial Intelligence, IoT - Internet, etc.).

Diogo also assists national and international clients in the resolution of complex disputes involving trademarks, patents, copyrights and trade secrets.
Diogo Frada Almeida is also an accredited Industrial Property Agent (Agente Oficial da Propriedade Industrial) at the Portuguese Patent and Trademark Office (INPI) and a registered Professional Representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
He is a speaker at academic activities related to intellectual property. He has published articles in national and foreign legal reviews on those subjects.
From 2018 to 2022, Diogo Frada Almeida worked as an associate lawyer in the department of Intellectual Property, Technologies, Media, and Communications of the firm CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut.

Law Degree (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2014). LLM Globalisation and Law (Maastricht University- Faculty of Law, 2016), Post-Graduation in Intellectual Property (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2017).
