Francisco Campos Braz

Francisco Campos Braz joined the firm in 2024, advising clients on the international and cross-border aspects of their investments in Portugal and Lusophone Africa, including Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde. He is a member of the Lusophone Africa practice team which is dedicated to deals, transactions and advising international clients investing in these markets. Francisco is also part of ML's international Oil & Gas (including mining) and Shipping teams. He is also a member of the banking and finance department.

With nearly fifteen years of experience, Francisco was a Senior Associate in the Oil & Gas practice at Vieira de Almeida & Associados (2019-2024) and a Consultant at Miranda & Associados (2010 - 2019), focusing on several jurisdictions, including Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Mozambique and East Timor, where he advised international companies and groups in a wide range of practice areas, including foreign private investment, corporate, commercial contracts, oil and gas, mining, shipping, foreign exchange and labour.

He has co-authored several articles for international publications (particularly in the area of shipping) and has been a contributor to the World Bank's Doing Business project for Equatorial Guinea since 2011.

Education

Law Degree (Nova School of Law, 2008). Master’s degree in Public Law (Nova Law School, 2010). Postgraduate Studies in Sports Law (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2022). Attending a Postgraduate Studies in Corporate Law (Católica Lisbon School of Law).

Portuguese, English and Spanish.
