Maria Quintela

Maria Quintela joined the firm in 1995 and was a non-equity partner from 2014 to 2021. She is a member of the tax team.
Maria is experienced in assisting and advising clients on tax related matters including within international restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and private equity transactions.
Her practice covers a wide range of areas in international and domestic taxation, including in relation to corporate and personal income tax, VAT, property transfer tax, and stamp tax.
Maria Quintela’s tax practice also involves representing and advising clients on tax litigation matters in both administrative proceedings and in tax courts.
Education
Law Degree (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 1988). Specialist Lawyer in Tax, title awarded by the Portuguese Bar Association (2004).
