Luís Roquette Geraldes is a partner in the Corporate and M&A department, where he leads Team Genesis and co-heads the Private Equity practice.
With deep expertise in technology, life sciences, and healthcare, Luís specializes in advising IP-rich and asset-light companies. He focuses on supporting founders, high-growth businesses, and investors with their most complex cross-border transactions and go-to-market strategies.
Previously, Luís gained valuable experience at Skadden, Arps in the M&A and Corporate Finance department from 2017 to 2018. He has also lectured at prestigious institutions, including the Wharton MBA program, and was responsible for the "Startup Life Cycle" course at Universidade Nova de Lisboa's LLM.
Recognized as a leading lawyer in Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Fintech by Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, and IFLR, Luís was shortlisted for the “Young Legal Innovator of the Year” at the 2016 Financial Times European Innovative Lawyer Awards and received the “Lawyer of the Year Iberia - Private Equity” award at the 2019 Iberian Lawyer – 40 under Forty Awards.
