Filipa Castanheira de Almeida rejoined the firm in 2020, after having initiated her professional career here between 2014 and 2018. She is a member of the intellectual property, technology and personal data department and of the German Desk – an in-house team at Morais Leitão that provides permanent and personalised support to clients from German-speaking countries.
The focus of her work is on strategic advice and on conducting patent litigation cases in several sectors, in particular in the pharmaceutical sector, where she has represented important companies in that sector in complex patent infringement and patent invalidity actions.

Likewise, Filipa has particularly relevant experience in representing national and international clients in various sectors of activity, both in the pre-litigation and litigation phases, in the areas of civil and commercial law, having also accrued experience in class actions.
Between 2018 and 2020, she joined the board of a company in the technology and linguistic sector, having also been responsible for its legal area.
