Elmano Sousa Costa joined the firm in 2007. He is co-coordinator of the international Oil & Gas team.
Elmano has experience in structured finance and project finance, representing lenders and sponsors in several business areas such as energy production (wind farms, photovoltaic, mini hydro and biomass), infrastructure concessions (motorways, football stadiums and transports) natural resources, water and sewage concessions and hazardous waste recovery plants.
Qualified to practice in Brazil and has worked for 2 years in the São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro offices of Brazilian law firm Mattos Filho, in its infrastructure team working for local and international clients in O&G upstream and midstream deals, infrastructure financing and M&A and providing legal support to international groups with investments in Brazil.
He has also been active in real estate finance, negotiation of derivatives master agreements, debt issue transactions and banking debt restructure.
