The Middle Eastern and African Arbitration Review 2023 – Angola
Filipe Vaz Pinto, Ricardo do Nascimento Ferreira e Frederico de Távora Pedro assinam o capítulo de Angola do guia “The Middle Eastern and African Arbitration Review 2023 – Angola”. Uma publicação do Global Arbitration Review (GAR).
“As one of the fastest-growing economies in the first two decades of the twenty-first century, Angola has become one of the most attractive destinations for foreign investment. However, its exponential growth since the early 2000s has not been fully accompanied by the development of a fast, effective judicial system. Further, because of that, a more arbitration-friendly culture has been, and still is, under development in the Angolan legal culture. In this article, the authors demonstrate some of the means through which the development of this culture is being achieved and provide the reader with an overview of the achievements and difficulties that arbitration has faced since the inception of the Voluntary Arbitration Law in 2003”.
